Adelaide Office 365 User Group Reminder - Next Tuesday

Just a quick reminder that the Adelaide Office 65 User Group is taking place next week on Tuesday the 22nd of August, and not our usual time slot this afternoon. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

At next week’s session of the Adelaide Office 365 User Group meeting, we have Robert Crane (MVP) presenting “All about Microsoft Defender for Business”, where Participants will gain an understanding of Microsoft Defender for Business features, functionality and integration. This session is aimed towards Team leaders, Business leaders, Project managers, and IT Professionals that wants to learn more about the capabilities of the platform you already have invested in.

About Robert

Robert has a degree in Electrical Engineering as well as Masters of Business Administration. He is a Certified SharePoint, Office 365 and Azure Professional. Robert has over 20 years of IT experience, including working on Wall St in New York. He is the Principal at the CIAOPS based in Sydney but servicing clients throughout the world.

Apart from resolving client technical issues, Robert continues to present at seminars locally and internationally. Since 2012 Robert has been awarded a Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award from Microsoft for his contributions around the Office 365 product. He is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

Defender for Endpoint is part of the Microsoft security stack that focuses on protecting devices. However, it goes far beyond simple AV. This session will help you understand the components of the service, how they are configured and the enhanced security they can provide environments, from PC to MAC, iOS, Android and Linux as well as how it integrates with other Microsoft security services. Given the inclusion of Defender for Endpoint in Microsoft Business Premium this is a must-see session for those wanting to learn more about maximising the new and included security capability that is now built into this common SMB license.
